The Pura Maria Foundation was born out of love, memory, and a unwavering promise. Founded by Carmella Weatherill and Mercedes Colwin in memory of her beloved sister, Pura Maria—a brilliant, creative, and joyful soul whose life was tragically cut short by domestic violence—our foundation exists to transform grief into meaningful action and offer hope to those caught in violent relationships. We accept donations to help established domestic violence non profits make a difference.
